'Dons confirm more AFL for Winderlich

After retiring and then seeking a trade, Jason Winderlich has confirmed he will play another AFL season for Essendon.

Essendon have confirmed AFL veteran Jason Winderlich will play on next season.

Winderlich announced his retirement in August and then requested a trade to Richmond.

But he changed his mind after talks with coach James Hird and chairman Paul Little.

Winderlich said Mark Harvey's return to Essendon as an assistant coach also swayed his thinking.

The 30-year-old utility has played 128 games for the Bombers.
