Dons' Daniher charged with Davis strike

Essendon forward Joe Daniher has been charged with striking Phil Davis from the AFL club's NAB Challenge loss.

Daniher's strike during a marking contest late in Essendon's 45-point loss to the Giants will cost him $1000 should he plead guilty.

The AFL's match review panel described the incident as careless conduct with low impact to the head.
