Dortmund bus attack stiil haunts Kagawa

Shinji Kagawa has admitted that he is still afraid getting on the Borussia Dortmund team bus, six weeks after the bomb attack ahead of a Champions League match.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa is still scared boarding the team bus and has trouble sleeping at night - six weeks after the bomb attack on the team bus ahead of a Champions League match.

"I am still afraid getting onto the bus. I am afraid travelling to the games," Kagawa wrote in his personal blog.

"I still don't sleep well."

Kagawa said that the arrest of the suspect for the attack has not made a difference, and he also voiced criticism that game against Monaco was postponed by only 24 hours after the attack.

"I had only the scenes from the bus in my head," he said.

"We heard that the match was supposed to take place the next day.

"I couldn't believe it, and neither could other players."

Defender Marc Bartra was injured when three explosive devices went off as the team bus was on its way to the quarter-final first-leg game at Dortmund's home stadium.

The German team lost 3-2 the next day and then fell 3-1 in Monaco to be eliminated.
