Borussia Dortmund's attacking midfielder Marco Reus has suffered a torn muscle in his right thigh.

Borussia Dortmund's attacking midfielder Marco Reus has suffered a torn muscle in his right thigh, the club tweeted Sunday.

The injury occurred in Dortmund's 5-1 victory at Werder Bremen Saturday.

German international Reus, 24, is likely to be out for two weeks and could miss the Bundesliga and German cup double header with Eintracht Frankfurt, and a league trip to SV Hamburg.

It is hoped the attacking midfielder will return for the round of 16 Champions League clash with Zenit St Petersburg on February 25.

Dortmund also said defensive midfielder Sven Bender picked up a thigh strain in Bremen and could be out for a week.
