Downer EDI CFO dies

Engineering group Downer EDI's chief financial officer of nearly six years, Kevin Fletcher, has died.

Engineering group Downer EDI says its chief financial officer, Kevin Fletcher, has died.

Mr Fletcher joined the company in 2010, and was appointed the finance head in August that year. He had previously worked with Qantas, KPMG and Coopers and Lybrand. He died on Sunday, Downer said.

Downer's deputy chief financial officer Michael Ferguson has been appointed acting finance head, the company said in a statement on Monday.
