Downloading TV shows, films, music could be thwarted

The latest crackdown on piracy means Australians may no longer be able to illegally download TV shows, films or music.

The House of Representatives have passed amendments to the Copyright Act.

If passed in the Senate, internet service providers will have the power to stop Australians from using overseas websites that provide illegal content.   

But critics fear the changes mark a shift towards internet censorship.
