St George-Illawarra prop Mose Masoe has torn his ACL at a training session and is likely to miss the entire 2016 NRL season.

St George-Illawarra recruit Mose Masoe is likely to miss the entire NRL season after suffering an ACL injury.

The Dragons confirmed the former St Helens star tore his knee at a training session on Wednesday, just days before he was to take part in this weekend's NRL Auckland Nines.

Fellow new signing Tyrone McCarthy has taken Masoe's spot in the tournament.
