St George Illawarra forward Jack de Belin has been ruled out for six weeks after picking up a shoulder injury in the NSW City Country game.

De Belin was one of NSW Country's best performers in their 44-30 loss to NSW City but now won't be back until the club's round 16 fixture against Newcastle.

His spot in Thursday's match against Canberra has been taken by Will Matthews, with Joel Thompson and Tim Lafai returning to the line-up.
