St George Illawarra forward Jake Marketo faces up to two weeks out of the NRL due to a dangerous throw in the Dragons' win over Penrith on Thursday.
Marketo was hit with a grade one dangerous throw on Panthers bench forward Lelani Latu in the second half of the opening match of round 24 in Wollongong.
When loading and carryover points are taken into account Marketo will be outed for two weeks if he unsuccessfully charges the citation at the NRL judiciary.
However he will only miss one match if he takes the early guilty plea.
Dragons back-rower Tyson Frizell was charged with a tripping offence by the NRL match review committee, but he will be free to play in the Dragons' next match against Gold Coast if he takes the early plea.
Dragons centre Euan Aitken was put on report after he appeared to place pressure on and twist the neck of Tyrone Peachey with his knee in a tackle, but he wasn't charged on Friday.
St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor will need to call upon yet another back-rower if Marketo is suspended.
Marketo was a late call-up to the starting side to face the Panthers after Joel Thompson was ruled out with a hamstring strain while Will Matthews (shoulder) is sidelined for the rest of the season.
