Dramatic rescue as girl jumps in front of moving train in China

Dramatic footage released by Chinese state media shows the moment a railway worker saved the life of a girl who tried to leap into the path of a moving train.

A railway worker has saved the life of a girl who tried to jump in front of a moving train in southern China.

The rescue took place at the Xianyou Railway Station in Fujian province.

Chinese state media released CCTV footage which captured the moment.

In the video the girl is seen running on the platform seconds before a train pulls in.

The man responds quickly, grabbing her arm and stopping her from tumbling into the path of the moving train.

Neither the girl nor the man were seriously injured in the incident, state media reported.
