DreamWorks planning fifth Shrek film

The CEO at DreamWorks Animation, Jeffrey Katzenberg, says there will be a Shrek 5 if he has his way.

Movie bosses at DreamWorks Animation are developing a fifth instalment of the Shrek franchise.

CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg insists the friendly, green ogre and his pals will be back in a new film if he has his way.

He tells Fox Business Network, "We like to let them have a little bit of time to rest. But I think you can be confident that we'll have another chapter in the Shrek series. We're not finished, and more importantly, neither is he."

Shrek, which stars the voice of Mike Myers, first hit theatres in 2001. The last film was released in 2010.

The movie news comes just days after it was announced a Shrek themepark attraction will open in London in 2015.
