Drone’s eye view of Europe's biggest rail project

The BBC has been allowed to fly a remote controlled camera along the tunnels of Europe's biggest rail project.

London’s Crossrail will carry about 200 million passengers a year under London, when it begins operating in four years’ time.

The 118 kilometre railway line is Europe’s biggest rail project, aimed at easing congestion on London underground lines.

After four months of negotiating with the Crossrail safety team, the BBC was permitted to fly a drone along the tunnels of Crossrail, to get an idea of what the final project will look like.
