Seven people were taken to hospital and 31 people were caught with drugs at a New Year's Eve dance party in Sydney.

Police searched 84 people at the Above and Beyond festival, which was held at the Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday night.

Officers charged 31 people with drug offences as a result of the searches.

They include a 23-year-old Victorian woman who was charged with drug supply after officers allegedly located 15 capsules of MDMA hidden in her bra.

Seven people, including six women, were hospitalised at the event. Police say they suffered "suspected adverse reactions" to drugs.

About 5000 people attended the event.
