Dustin Martin stars in AFL hitout

Dustin Martin was the standout player as Richmond had an intraclub game on Friday ahead of the NAB Challenge.

Dustin Martin is putting his off-field dramas behind him, starring in Richmond's last AFL intra-club game.

Martin was the standout in Friday's Punt Rd hitout before he appeared to suffer a knock to the head and left the ground as a precaution.

Playing across half-forward, he was on the field for four of the six 15-minute quarters.

Last month, the AFL and Richmond cleared Martin of standing over a woman in a Windsor restaurant in December and threatening to stab her with a chopstick.

But Martin admitted to being drunk at the time of the incident and two days later apologised to the woman for his behaviour.

The Tigers' first NAB Challenge match will be on February 19 against Fremantle in Mandurah.
