Dutch mourn at the arrival of MH17 bodies

A solemn ceremony has greeted the bodies of some of the victims of the MH17 crash after they arrived at Eindhoven Airbase in the Netherlands.

A Dutch C-130 Hercules touched down with the first 16 bodies just before midnight and an Australian RAAF C-17 transporter landed minutes later with another 24.

The bodies had earlier been farewelled from Ukraine with a service led by Australia's special envoy, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston.

Reporter Ben Lewis is in Eindhoven, and spoke with Darren Mara about the solemn ceremony.
