E-commerce executive joins Westpac board

Westpac has appointed Alison Deans, a former senior executive at eBay and Hoyts Cinemas, to its board.

Westpac has appointed a former chief executive of eBay Australia and Hoyts Cinemas to its board.

Alison Deans will join Westpac as an independent non-executive director on April 1.

She has previously worked as CEO at eBay Australia and New Zealand, Hoyts and eCorp, and currently holds a board position at Insurance Australia Group.

Ms Deans is also a member of the panel conducting a cost-benefit analysis of the national broadband network for the federal government.
