Eade demands Suns retain intensity

Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade says his AFL team set a standard they must maintain when they thrashed Hawthorn last weekend.

Coach Rodney Eade says Gold Coast's surprise AFL thrashing of Hawthorn has set the standard for acceptable level of effort from his players.

Eade is set to retain the team which recorded the club's highest-ever winning margin against the Hawks - having been similarly belted by GWS a week earlier - and he made it clear on Thursday he expected the same level of intensity.

"I dont think it will be the same result (on the scoreboard), what you're looking for is the effort. I think we've set a standard about what to accept from our players," Eade said.
