West Coast veterans Adam Selwood and Mark Nicoski have announced their AFL retirements.

Selwood was part of the club's 2006 premiership triumph, and has played 186 games since making his debut in 2003.

Nicoski has been riddled by injuries throughout his 112-game career.

The 29-year-old booted 41 goals in 2011 as West Coast reached the preliminary final.

But the popular left-footer hasn't played an AFL match since then, with a serious hamstring injury ruling him out of all of last year, before a season-ending wrist injury while playing in the WAFL in June thwarted his plans of an AFL return.

Unlike Selwood, Nicoski never won a premiership.

He was part of the 2005 side that lost the grand final, but missed selection for the 2006 premiership decider after being struck down by injury in the middle of the season.
