Eagles axe Wilson, Carter from AFL list

West Coast duo Blayne Wilson and Adam Carter have joined Ashley Smith and Jacob Brennan on the chopping block at the AFL club.

West Coast have delisted defenders Blayne Wilson and Adam Carter from their AFL list.

Wilson, recruited by the Eagles in the 2011 pre-season draft, played nine games for the club, while Carter made seven appearances since being selected with pick No.59 in the 2012 national draft.

The pair join fellow defenders Jacob Brennan and Ashley Smith as players to be axed by the Eagles this year.

Premiership veterans Darren Glass and Dean Cox retired earlier this year

The club has since welcomed Corey Adamson and Paddy Brophy onto its rookie list, as well as drafting Alec Waterman as a father/son selection.
