West Coast midfielder Elliot Yeo insists his team haven't been scarred by their two losses to Sydney this year, saying he would gladly face the Swans in this season's AFL finals.
Sydney are the only team who have beaten West Coast this year - in round one, and again last week.
The third-placed Swans have won 11 of the past 13 matches between the two sides, and the odds are high that the arch rivals will meet at some point during this year's finals.
If that happens, Yeo says West Coast would embrace it.
"Absolutely," Yeo said.
"I don't think there's any scars.
"It's one of those ones where it's a little bit more frustrating, because personally I feel we should have won (on Friday).
"And we probably should have won in round one if we had have capitalised.
"The confidence and belief is there that we can beat them and we can take it up to them. It's just a matter of being able to execute it."
West Coast won the clearances (36-24) and inside 50s (63-52) in Friday night's 15-point loss, but their young forward line failed to capitalise.
Forward Jack Darling is still sidelined by a fractured ankle, and West Coast are hoping fellow spearhead Josh Kennedy won't join him on the injury list.
Kennedy, who underwent foot surgery during the off-season, looked sore during the end of last week's game, with the pain in his Achilles tendon seemingly flaring up.
Yeo hopes the 30-year-old can keep battling through the pain.
"He's a contested player. He's always got some sort of ice pack on somewhere," Yeo said.
"It's just one of those ones where he pulled up a little bit sore. But I think he should be ok."
West Coast (10-2) slipped to second spot following the loss to Sydney, and will be aiming to rebound in Thursday night's clash with Essendon at Optus Stadium.
Yeo said the prospect of reclaiming top spot wasn't a motivating factor for the group.
Essendon (5-7) have won three of their past four games, but face an uphill battle to work their way back into the finals picture.
