East Perth apartment fire extinguished

Several fire crews rushed to an apartment building in East Perth to extinguish a blaze that had started on the balcony.

A fire that started on the balcony of an apartment building in East Perth has been extinguished.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the blaze had been burning on the fifth floor of the building on Wickham Street.

Several fire engines attended to extinguish the flames and an investigation will now investigate the cause.
