EasyJet trims first-half loss to STG41m

EasyJet says its net losses stood at STG41 million ($A74.84 million) in the six months to March 31.

British no-frills airline EasyJet has trimmed losses in the first half of the group's financial year, helped by rising sales and falling costs, it says.

Net losses stood at STG41 million ($A74.84 million) in the six months to March 31, compared with a loss of STG47 million in the same part of its previous fiscal year, it announced in a results statement.

EasyJet added that pre-tax losses also improved to STG53 million, from 61 million last time around.
