Parramatta will challenge the grading of the dangerous throw charge levelled at Junior Paulo by the NRL match review committee.

Paulo has pleaded guilty to his shot on Matt Ballin in Parramatta's opening round win over Manly but is contesting the severity of the grade three charge.

He faces a seven-week ban if he fails in his attempt to have it downgraded at the NRL judiciary hearing on Wednesday night.

Canterbury's Josh Reynolds has been banned for two matches after taking the early guilty plea to a dangerous throw charge but it will have no effect on the Canterbury five-eighth who will be out for up to eight weeks after breaking his arm against the Panthers.

Manly's James Hasson has been rubbed out for three games for dangerous contact against former teammate Anthony Watmough.

Melbourne's Felise Kaufusi is facing a two-week ban after being charged with dangerous contact on St George Illawarra's Benji Marshall.

Kaufusi can accept a one-week stint on the sidelines with an early guilty plea and will risk being outed for a fortnight if he challenges the charge.

He was one of two players to be charged from Melbourne's win over the Dragons on Monday night.

His Storm teammate Jesse Bromwich will escape suspension for a careless high tackle charge.
