Coach Brad Arthur believes Parramatta's scintillating win over St George Illawarra could lure Kieran Foran into joining the Eels.
The Eels notched back-to-back NRL wins for the first time this year with the 16-12 defeat of the Dragons, courtesy of some gritty defence and eye-catching work with the ball, that included a hat-trick of tries to winger Semi Radradra.
As Foran tosses up his future this week following his contract dramas at Parramatta, Arthur - who is a close friend of the Kiwi international - believes Saturday night's win is proof the Eels are a club going places.
When asked if he thought the win was a good advertisement for the club - with Foran deciding whether to sign an altered contract with the Eels, stay at Manly or consider interest from Gold Coast or the Sydney Roosters - Arthur said: "Yes, but the boys they did it for themselves and our fans.
"We've got 14 players unavailable at the moment and 11 of them have played NRL.
"A big thank you to our fans because they were outstanding tonight and it really helped.
"The boys wanted to put a show on for them.
"We drew a line in the sand and said 'enough's enough' after the Melbourne game.
"The boys got together during the week and had a little chat and I think it showed tonight."
It was the fourth straight game in which Radradra had scored two or more tries, with the Fijian having crossed for 14 tries in nine games so far this season. He has scored 21 tries in 16 games at the Eels' home ground and tallied 40 tries in 41 NRL games since debuting for the Eels late in 2013.
The win moves the Eels a win above Manly, Wests Tigers and Newcastle at the foot of the NRL ladder.
The defeat was the Dragons' third in a row.
