Parramatta will learn their fate on Tuesday with the NRL to announce findings from a lengthy investigation into salary cap rorting by club officials.
The NRL have called a press conference for 11:30am at Rugby League Central, with chief executive Todd Greenberg and the head of the integrity unit Nick Weeks to front the media.
At the centre of the alleged breaches are a number of questionable third-party deals.
It's expected the club will be heavily fined and docked competition points, with speculation ranging between eight and 10 being taken away from the team who have got off to their best start to a season in more than a decade.
Any such points penalty will make them the fourth team in the history of the NRL to have points deducted for rorting, following on from Canterbury in 2002, the Warriors in 2006 and Melbourne in 2010.
Under-fire chairman Steve Sharp told members at a fiery AGM on Monday night that he would resign if it meant the club were spared a points deduction.
Sharp reportedly clashed several times with former chairman Dennis Fitzgerald who said the current board's position would be untenable when the NRL's integrity unit reveals its findings.
