Veteran Karrie Webb will be one of eight Australians to tee it up in the Women's PGA Championship, the third of five majors on the LPGA Tour schedule.

Now in semi-retirement, seven-time major winner Webb claimed the 2001 Women's PGA at the DuPont Country Club in Delaware.

Webb has made just five appearances on the LPGA Tour this year, missing the cut twice.

Her best finish, a tie for 19th, came at the Kingsmill Championship in May.

World No.9 Minjee Lee is expected to lead the Australian charge at Kemper Lakes Golf Club, north of Chicago.

Lee won the Volvik Championship a month ago and continued her consistent form with a tie for third in last week's Arkansas Championship.

Inbee Park is energised and, like Webb, is ready to take aim at her eighth major.

The thumb and back that bothered her in recent years are fine.

Though, one thing is weighing on the LPGA Hall of Famer entering the Women's PGA Championship.

Someone broke into her house in Las Vegas last week, and she's still not sure exactly what was taken.

The home crisis aside, Park appears to be in a good place.

The top-ranked South Korean star tops a loaded field.

They are trying to conquer a challenging course where the late Payne Stewart won the 1989 PGA Championship for the first of his three majors.
