Elderly driver slams into Melbourne garage

A driver was lucky to escape unscathed when the car he was driving crashed into the garage at an Essendon home on Sunday.

An elderly driver has crashed through the back wall of a garage in Melbourne.

Emergency crews say the man was not trapped or injured but the garage at an Essendon home suffered significant structural damage on Sunday.

A Council Building Surveyor will inspect the damage on Monday.
