Elderly man charged over fatal WA crash

An 80-year-old man, who remains in a WA hospital two months after a fatal crash, has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.

An elderly driver has been charged over a fatal crash with another car in the southern Perth suburb of Wattleup.

The 80-year-old man and his 83-year-old female passenger were seriously injured in the crash on April 16 and remain in hospital, while the 62-year-old driver of the other vehicle died at the scene.

The man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, and is due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on July 29.
