Elderly man fatally run over in WA

An 85-year-old man has died in hospital after being hit by a car in Perth's south-eastern suburbs.

An 85-year-old pedestrian has died after being run over by a driver in Perth's south-eastern suburbs.

The man was walking along Streich Ave in Kelmscott at 7.30pm on Thursday when he was struck by a Toyota Camry.

He was taken to hospital where he later died.

The man was believed to have been walking to his car, which was parked nearby.

Police have spoken to the driver.
