South Australians should be careful they know what they're getting when they vote at the federal election, Labor frontbencher Kate Ellis warns.
Candidates aligned to independent SA senator Nick Xenophon had made the election incredibly unpredictable in her home state, she said.
"We've seen through the state parliament that sometimes Nick Xenophon's mates don't make the best contributions to our democracy," Ms Ellis told ABC TV on Sunday.
