An Emirates spokesperson has told SBS World News Australia that, "Emirates does not have an instagram account and the competition is a fake one."
The account, with the handle "emiratespromotion", said "Our first 10,000 followers who share our page and tag & mention #EmiratesPromotion will revceive two tickets in our economy class to Dubai!"
It has gained traction around various social media sites today, spreading to Facebook and Twitter, where users have shared images from the fake Instagram site, in the hope of securing free tickets.
