England change front-row for Pumas clash

England have revamped their front-row to face rugged scrummagers Argentina at Twickenham on Saturday.

England coach Stuart Lancaster has unveiled a new heavyweight front-row to face renowned scrummagers Argentina at Twickenham on Saturday.

Lancaster on Thursday selected the trio of David Wilson, Dylan Hartley and Joe Marler, who all came off the bench during last weekend's 20-13 win over Australia.

British and Irish Lions star Alex Corbisiero, fit after a knee injury kept him out the Wallabies match, had been tipped to replace now injured prop Mako Vunipola but found himself among the replacements.

Instead Marler, as he'd done during last Saturday's match, replaced Vunipola.

"Joe Marler was excellent off the bench against Australia and merits his opportunity, as does David Wilson, who has been pushing hard for selection," Lancaster said.

"Dylan gets a deserved chance at hooker with Tom Youngs on the bench after the safe arrival of his first child this (Thursday) morning. Rob Webber remains on standby."

In the backs, Ben Foden replaced Marland Yarde after the winger failed a fitness test on a hip injury.

England:

Mike Brown, Chris Ashton, Joel Tomkins, Billy Twelvetrees, Ben Foden, Owen Farrell, Lee Dickson, Billy Vunipola, Chris Robshaw (capt), Tom Wood, Courtney Lawes, Joe Launchbury, David Wilson, Dylan Hartley, Joe Marler. Reserves: Tom Youngs, Alex Corbisiero, Dan Cole, Geoff Parling, Ben Morgan, Ben Youngs, Toby Flood, Alex Goode.
