England were bowled out for 319 in their first innings in reply to India's 295 on Saturday's third day of the second Test at Lord's.

This gave England a first-innings lead of 24 runs but, India - batting for a second time - had reached 0-11 at lunch to reduce the deficit to 13.

Shikhar Dhawan was 10 not out and Murali Vijay was yet to score.

Earlier, Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar led the tourists' attack with 6-82 from 31 overs - the second time in as many innings he had record Test-best figures after his 5-82 in last week's series opener at Trent Bridge.

Gary Ballance top-scored for England with 110 while tailender Liam Plunkett made a Test-best 55 not out.

Resuming on 6-219, nightwatchman Plunkett survived to notch his maiden Test half century.

Matt Prior (23) was England's first batsman to fall. A top edge off Mohammed Shami looped skywards, giving Dhawan time to get underneath and take a good catch.

Kumar struck twice in his 28th over, bowling Ben Stokes for his second straight duck after the first Test.

Stuart Broad (4) then edged Kumar to Dhawan before James Anderson (19) was caught by Ajinkya Rahane off Ravindra Jadeja.

The five-match series is level at 0-0 after the drawn first Test.
