England only satisfied with series sweep

England coach Eddie Jones says his team have already started making plans for a Test series whitewash against the Wallabies.

England started making plans for a Test series sweep before they'd even left the pitch at AAMI Park.

After clinching the first ever series win over the Wallabies on Australian soil England coach Eddie Jones declared the job wasn't done and they wouldn't be happy until they won game three in Sydney next Saturday.

"We want to win three nil," Jones said.

"We'll only be satisfied if we win three-nil. The players are already talking about it now.

"The boys started talking about it on the field and we're committed to doing that."

He said there would be no let-up in preparations despite having the series already in the bag.

"If the All Blacks were in this situation what would they be thinking? They'd be thinking three-nil and that's what we're thinking."

Jones lauded his team's defence; making 215 tackles to Australia's 81 as key to the win.

"Generally we handled the Australian attack pretty well.

"They made ground ... you've got to be patient and pick your opportunity and I thought we did that well."

While he admitted his team was far from the finished article, Jones also reiterated his bold intention to transform England into the world's top side.

"We want to be No.1, mate, and I think we've got the talent to do it."

England moved to No.2 in the world rankings, only trailing New Zealand.
