English model Jodie Kidd is on cloud nine after revealing she is to marry her ex-soldier boyfriend David Blakeley after a whirlwind romance.
The couple, who first met last year, got engaged in secret four months ago on a romantic trip to India.
The 35-year-old, who has a two-year-old son Indio from her former relationship with Argentinian polo player Andrea Vianin, told Hello!: "It's absolutely brilliant.
"We are totally chuffed and on cloud nine."
Blakeley, who left the Army in 2006 and wrote a best-selling account of his time in the special forces, proposed on the shores of a lake in Rajasthan and told Hello! he was overjoyed.
He said: "I've never felt like this before. I knew it was different from the moment I met Jodie."
