Michael Ennis has received a last-minute call-up for NSW after hooker Robbie Farah's failure in his brave bid to play in Wednesday's State of Origin decider in Brisbane.

NSW officials have confirmed Cronulla rake Ennis will play his first Origin in four years, replacing Farah who has failed to recover sufficiently from hand surgery.

The official team sheet has Ennis wearing the No.18 jersey for the Blues in the must-win, sold-out Suncorp Stadium clash.
