Two men who escaped from a minimum security facility in regional NSW have been recaptured by police after three days on the run.

Corrections officers first became aware of the prisoners' disappearance while conducting a routine check of the Gongolon facility - located 100 kilometres southeast of Bourke - late on Thursday night.

Paul Jackson, 18, and Lucas Hines, 20, were subsequently arrested during a vehicle stop in Brewarrina on Sunday just before midday.

Both young men have been charged with escaping a correctional facility and are due to appear at Bourke Local Court on Monday.
