European stocks advance at open

In Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.25 per cent to 4,198.67 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 0.20 per cent to 9,275.38 points.

Europe's main stock markets rose at the open, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.19 per cent at 6,570.58 points.

In Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.25 per cent to 4,198.67 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 0.20 per cent to 9,275.38 points compared with Thursday's close.

Asian equities also climbed on Friday, after a strong Wall Street rally on upbeat figures on the US labour market, and before the release of crucial jobs data later in the day.
