European stocks markets steady at open

European stocks markets have steadied at the open, with London's FTSE index flat.

Europe's stock markets have steadied at the start of trading, with London's FTSE 100 benchmark index flat at 6,675.82 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 on Wednesday edged up 0.04 per cent to 9,598.77 points and the Paris CAC 40 index gained 0.11 per cent to stand at 4,364.00, compared with Tuesday's close.
