European stocks slip at open; London down

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index was down 0.06 per cent to 6,671.33 points in opening Thursday trade.

Europe's main stock markets have weakened at the start of Thursday trading, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.06 per cent to 6,671.33 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 dipped 0.18 per cent to 9,522.66 points and in Paris the CAC 40 shed 0.32 per cent to 4,291.74 compared with Wednesday's closing values.
