European stocks steady at open

Frankfurt's DAX 30 has dipped 0.01 per cent to 9,661.80 points and in Paris the CAC 40 gained 0.14 per cent to 4,346.29.

Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading after last week's strong gains, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.04 per cent to 6,666.61 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 dipped 0.01 per cent to 9,661.80 points and in Paris the CAC 40 gained 0.14 per cent to 4,346.29 compared with Friday's closing values.
