Ex-Cowboy Moore signs for London Broncos

Englishman Scott Moore has returned to the Super League to play for the London Broncos after being released by North Queensland in the NRL.

Super League side London Broncos have signed former North Queensland hooker Scott Moore.

The 25-year-old Englishman links up with the Londoners after being released from the second year of his contract with the Cowboys, for whom he made six NRL appearances in 2013.

"I think he's played his best football when he's been able to sit on a position rather than be juggled around. We're looking to use him as a starting hooker," Broncos coach Tony Rea said.

"He's gone out and grabbed some experience in the NRL so we're looking to utilise that. I think Scott needs a good season so it's a win-win scenario."

Moore became the youngest player in Super League when he made his debut for St Helens in 2004 at the age of 16 and played for England in 2009.

But his career hasn't been without controversy.

He was suspended by Huddersfield after an infamous night out in London with Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke and was sacked by Widnes, his fourth club, for a breach of discipline.
