Former National Football League safety Darren Sharper has been jailed for nine years as part of a deal to resolve sexual assault charges against him in four US states.
Sharper has been accused of drugging and raping women in Arizona, California, Louisiana and, in the most recent case to be brought before the courts, Nevada.
On Monday he pleaded guilty in Arizona and Nevada, and was sentenced to nine years and eight years respectively, with the sentences to run concurrently.
He was expected to enter new pleas in the other two states in due course.
Sharper, 39, won a Super Bowl title with the New Orleans Saints in 2010 and retired later that year.
He has been jailed in Los Angeles since February 2014.
Last year, Sharper pleaded not guilty to drugging and raping two women in West Hollywood in 2013.
He faced similar accusations of sexually assaulting three women in New Orleans in 2013, and of drugging three women and sexually assaulting two of them in Tempe, Arizona, in November 2013.
Last week, charges were filed in Clark County Justice Court in Las Vegas alleging he assaulted two women when he knew were "mentally or physically incapable of resisting" in January 2014.
