Ex-Turnbull advisor to fight drug charges

A senior advisor to cabinet minister Malcolm Turnbull will plead not guilty to an act of indecency and drug possession.

A former advisor to Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull intends to fight drug and indecency charges.

Stephen Ellis, who has resigned as senior advisor to Mr Turnbull, will plead not guilty to an act of indecency and drug possession relating to an incident at Canberra Airport on May 14, the ACT Magistrates Court was told on Friday.

Ellis, who lives in Sydney, did not appear in court as police prosecutors laid two extra charges over the same incident.
