Extreme fire danger for parts of WA

Extreme and severe fire danger ratings have been forecast for parts of Western Australia.

Fire authorities are preparing for a day of extreme weather in parts of Western Australia.

An extreme fire danger rating has been forecast for Monday for coastal areas of the Pilbara, including in the Ashburton and Roebourne shires.

A severe fire danger rating is also in place for some coastal and inland areas of the Pilbara, including Port Hedland and the shires of Ashburton, East Pilbara and Exmouth.

Severe ratings have also been forecast for coastal parts of Carnarvon and Shark Bay shires in the Gascoyne area.
