Fans can say goodbye to Goodesy: Shaw

Sydney defender Rhyce Shaw says Swans fans can still acclaim Adam Goodes this Saturday even if they aren't sure they are witnessing his final home game.

Retiring Sydney defender Rhyce Shaw says Swans fans will still be able to acclaim Adam Goodes this weekend, even if they're not sure whether they are witnessing the dual Brownlow Medallist's final AFL game.

If the Swans lose Saturday's home semi-final to North Melbourne it will be the final game for Goodes if he does decide to finish up.

Shaw has already announced he is ending his career at the end of the season and will play his final game in Sydney this weekend, but Goodes will wait to the end of the campaign before announcing whether his 17th season will be his last.

"If it is his last game they are there and they are supporting him, it's not like they are not going to get a chance to see him, he's actually playing this week and hopefully a couple more weeks after that," Shaw said.
