Farah confirms Wests Tigers re-signing

Robbie Farah's four-year Wests Tigers contract that was sitting on his manager's desk for months has finally been finalised by the NRL club's skipper.

Wests Tigers fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief after captain Robbie Farah revealed his four-year deal with the NRL club had been finalised.

Farah tweeted a photo of the signed contract on Thursday night to end a long period of uncertainty since the deal was announced at the start of the season.

The new contract is reportedly worth $3.5 million and will keep the NSW hooker at the joint venture club until the end of 2017.

"Signed sealed delivered.. Finally! :) Officially a @Wests_Tigers for life! #noplaceidratherbe #tiger4life #myhome," Farah wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Wests Tigers coach Mick Potter believes he'll complete the final year of his contract next season after recent speculation the club's dismal 2013 campaign might lead to his sacking.

It's understood the 49-year-old has received the backing of management.

"If a person tells me face-to-face that I'm in that position next year, I'd take him on face value," Potter told ONE's The Game Plan on Thursday night.

"I don't believe they are liars. I think when someone looks you in the eye and tells you something, you believe them.

"I believe what people tell you is the right thing, be it naive. I don't think it is."
