Wests Tigers are desperate not to let their impressive early season form go to waste as they welcome back key players including skipper Robbie Farah.
Farah returns from a three-match stint on the sidelines after dislocating his elbow against North Queensland.
With just one match before the NSW side is chosen for the State of Origin opener on May 28, the Blues hooker is joined by Braith Anasta, Sauaso Sue (both ankle) and Tim Simona (suspension) in returning to the Tigers' side for their NRL match against Cronulla at Remondis Stadium on Saturday.
The Sharks sit anchored to the bottom of the NRL ladder with just two wins.
The Tigers blitzed South Sydney and Manly early on in the season, stamping themselves as realistic finals contenders but prop Aaron Woods says back-to-back losses have the Tigers wary.
"We have fallen into a lull the last few weeks and it is time to get out of it," Woods said on Wednesday.
"It has been massively disappointing and we have to rectify that this week.
"We have been hit hard with injuries but that is no excuse.
"To have those old heads there with Robbie and Braith, it is good to get that experience back to help Brooksy (halfback Luke Brooks).
"Cronulla will be tough, but we are desperate too. We don't want to make it three (losses) in a row."
Anasta said his ankle wasn't 100 per cent but that Farah was ready to go.
"The ankle is not quite right but it is definitely good enough to play," Anasta said.
"It is a little bit of wear and tear over the years but I have trained well and am ready to go.
" Robbie is ready and raring to go. He is a tough bastard so I wouldn't expect anything different."
