Robbie Farah will have to satisfy NSW medical staff before being named for next month's State of Origin series opener.
The Wests Tigers' rake on Wednesday was reportedly cleared of major injury after undergoing brain scans.
The 32-year-old will miss Saturday's clash with Newcastle after being hospitalised when knocked out in a nasty collision on Sunday with Canterbury's Josh Reynolds.
The incumbent No.9 underwent scans on Wednesday which cleared him of lingering affects of concussion, according to the Seven Network, which bodes well for his quest to be fit for the June 1 Origin series opener.
However, Blues coach Laurie Daley said Farah would have to undergo examination from team doctors because he couldn't carry a player who was at risk of suffering a recurrence of a concussion.
"We'll have to get all the information off the medical team and assess it," Daley said on Wednesday on Fox Sports.
"We want to give him every opportunity. But if you were saying right here right now, if he's gone for scans, he's in some doubt."
