Robbie Farah has declared he won't be a liability in NSW's defence line for State of Origin II, as his recovery from a shoulder injury continues ahead of time.

The Blues' No.9 took part in NSW's first contact session on Saturday at their Coffs Harbour base and passed with flying colours. He did so again on Sunday before the Blues flew to Melbourne in the afternoon.

"The shoulder is going really good," Farah said.

"I have taken part in every training session so far. I had a lot of contact yesterday probably more than was expected of me.

"They weren't too concerned with me doing contact yesterday but I was keen to get in and do so to kind of test it out and give myself a bit of confidence and I got out there and the medical staff was screaming at me saying 'get off, get off - you are doing too much'.

"But it is fine. Just for myself, it was important to get through that - it was really pleasing."

Farah suffered the injury in Game I last month and said he had no concerns heading into Origin II on Wednesday at the MCG.

"I don't have anything to worry about - I wouldn't be here if I did," Farah said.

"I did everything over the last few weeks to make sure I would be here. I didn't want to affect my preparation or the team's preparation when I was here (in camp) by coming in here and not being able to perform at training.

"For me, that was crucial and I'm glad I was able to do that."

Blues back-rower Beau Scott said Farah hadn't been hampered by shoulder trouble during NSW's time at Coffs Harbour.

"He bounced into camp; you wouldn't even know he had a shoulder complaint," Scott said.

"He has been really good in all the sessions, including the contact sessions. He has been really great and there will be no excuses come Wednesday."
